There are an array of payment options available and these are all reflected in our payment and deposit policy. You have the choice to pay by credit card, debit card, electronic financial transfer (EFT) or direct cash payment into the Rentacheapie bank account. We are more than happy to facilitate your deposit payment and refund regardless of how your payment is made.
If you do choose to use your debit card to pay for your car rental with us in Cape Town, the process is fairly simple. There is a once-off non credit card deposit fee of R300 to cover the administration of the deposit refund to you as well as the additional banking charges incurred. We simply ask you for your banking details for the purpose of the deposit refund. For this you will need to share the full name of the person to receive the refund, the bank name, type of account and bank account number to be refunded. You will receive a proof of payment within 48 hours of the rental return and the money should appear in the account in three to seven working days.
To avoid disappointment, we recommend that you book your rental car at least two to three days ahead of receiving the car, regardless of the payment option that you opt for. This will help ensure that you have access to your vehicle of choice when you need it.
