Drivers License
All renters must hold valid drivers licenses and identity documents/passport in order to rent a vehicle.
We accept a valid drivers license from other countries.

Additional Drivers
Additional drivers are welcome. An admin fee of R 199.00 will be charged per additional driver. The additional drivers name must be on the original contract in order for the insurance to be activated.
(Drivers license, Passport/Identity document are required.)
During the rental period, the vehicle may not be driven by any other person than the renter himself or the additional driver whose name is on the original contract.

Deposit
The deposit to hire a vehicle is R3500.00 unless otherwise stated. The deposit can be done via credit card as an authorization only. We do accept an electronic cash deposit of R3500.00 as well, however, a handling fee of R250.00 will be charged for this. No cash in notes will be accepted as a deposit due to the security risk. The deposit will be returned on return of the vehicle.

Airport shuttle service
a) We can shuttle client to our offices, where a contract is filled in and a vehicle is released Price: From R150.00 to R250.00, depending on normal working day/public holiday or time of shuttle.

b) We can deliver the vehicle to the client, contract is filled, vehicle is released. Price: From R200.00 to R350.00 depending on day or time.

c) We can shuttle/deliver a vehicle within the greater Cape Town area, from R80 to R350.

Petrol
All vehicles will be rented out with a 1/2 tank of petrol and must return with a 1/2 tank of petrol (All vehicles take LRP95/ULP95 unless otherwise stated on the contract)

Traffic Offences
The renter is responsible for all the fines and traffic offences and will be liable for R199.00 administration fee for owner handling correspondence with the Traffic Department.

Travelling
If you travel further than 200Km outside of Cape Town, you must first discuss this with the owner or allocated manager.
There will be a travel fee charged depending on the destination. *Please see rates.

Cancellation
The renter may cancel the contract with Rent-A-Cheapie, however a cancellation fee is payable. Cancellation fee is 30% of the remaining contract. No refund for rentals less than 15 days.
